Hi ,
Darshan here from India. I had applied for a freshman admission last year. Got in with scholarship in DREXEL but chose not to go. Got waitlisted in Washington university in St.Louis but didnt get through. My SAT1 score was 2070(640 CR, 800 maths, 630 writing) SAT2 ( 800 physics 750 maths 700 chemistry). I decided to apply to washU again this year as a transfer. My GPA of first 2 semesters is 8.92 on a scale of 10. Did a huge project with 2 very renowned professors from my college in Australia. And i need huge financial aid. Can anyone evaluate my chances?
sorry for bad spellings if any.

Apply to more than one school if you really want to be in the States. WashU waitlists just about all applicants it doesn’t accept, so having been waitlisted last year unfortunately does not mean much. They are not need blind for internationals and needing big aid as a transfer makes it a longshot.

hmmm, correct me if im wrong because im unfamiliar with your grading system…would an 8.92 be equivalent to a 89.2/100%…if so that would amount to around a 3.4 or so…if your applying for soph. standing after having been waitlisted last year, you really need to show some improvement in your application, applying with essentially the same application again is most likely not going to yield the desired result…the improvement could be in your gpa, ec’s or essay, but you really need to show some sort of growth over your last application to get a different result

thank you for the reply guys. well as far my grading system is concerned 8.92 isn’t 89.2%. according to a website comparison its almost considered 4.0 in the states. Well I was wondering if the project I hv done with my professors in Australia could be of some help. Its Formula SAE . Most of you may be aware of it and in India not many students do it that too right in your first year. Also I am not expecting much from WASHU. I was wondering if i could make a direct appeal to DREXEL telling them that I cant make it without some sort of huge aid? would that be a good idea?
