Hello everyone!
I am immigrating along with my family to the States, and currently am a sophomore at the American University of Beirut. I want to transfer to the US, and will be taking a gap year/semester until I move and get settled.
Intended Major(s): Economics/Finance
SAT: 1420 (EBRW–660 M–760)
HS GPA: 80/100
My GPA in university: 3.3 → 3.6 → 3.8 → 3.92, placed on the Dean’s List for 3 semesters in a row.
Extracurriculars:
- Internships at a boutique investment bank and a venture capital fund.
- Participate in various case competitions, won a couple.
- Manage part of my university’s endowment fund.
- Committee member in two student-run clubs.
My situation is not the most ordinary, but I would love some advice as what schools to target, or if doing a semester at a CC helps (I don’t think so, as I have already completed 60 credits). Looking for any advice, I am waitlisted at Georgetown, and its the only school that I have applied to.
Nonetheless, I hope to get some feedback and/or advice!
