I'm kind of unique case becasue I'm applying to Grinnell as an international transfer student. And even with financial aid. I know Grinnell says 'need-blind' but I also heard from so many people that there is no real 'need-blind' college. (maybe except Princeton or Harvard... anyway)

So, what I'm asking is that, is there any international transfer students who are receiving any amount of financial aid at Grinnell?

And one more, what is the typical (?) or usual stat of transfer students who got into Grinnell, regardless of international/domestic or of financial aid. Can somebody help me up with this?

FYI, I'm currently in a private university which is around 20th rank in the U.S. And don't like here and want to go somewhere smaller and dosen't reject me from financial aid office because of being an international. And so far, Grinnell is it.

I'm just the parent of a Grinnell student. My son is not international, but I've been told the college is giving better aid to international students because the current students highly value diversity and are asking the college to increase spending on this. Good luck--my son loves Grinnell.

Thanks for the reply. I finally figured out that I needed to go to liberal arts college, after spending two years here. I really hope I can see your son soon. =D

no school in the us offers need-blind aid to international students. only few offer full rides to all qualified applicants e.g. olin, berea and cooper union.

thanks everyone. i emailed the admission office and they also said that there were 'need sensitive'. it is disappointing but i'm going to give it a try anyway. i wanna get in so bad!!!
