I am an international [F1 visa] student from Central Asia, particularly from Kyrgyzstan. I speak 5 different languages: Russian, Turkish, Uzbek, Kyrgyz, Arabic, not including English. So far I have 3.2 GPA and some EC’s. I intend to double major in Economics and Math. Currently I am attending to Com-ty College in Northwest. At my college I am a cofounder and president of Russian club. I am an active member of International Socialist Organization. I am also planning to create couple clubs next quarter.
Throughout my freshmen year, I’ve been volunteering as a math tutor for my college and I also volunteered for non-profit store. In total I have 133 volunteer hours done.
Currently I hold 45 credits with lame GPA of 3.2
Besides my School task and EC’s, to support my education, I worked part time job, 30 hours per week. It was a major factor to lower my GPA. (Should I include it on my app and particularly in my essay?)
Next year, in my sophomore year, I plan to apply to CAS as an international transfer student.
I am first generation College student. I realize it plays some role in admission decision.
In the future I intend to work for prosperity of my country; particularly I plan to be ministry of economy or so called Treasury secretary. I believe by attending to Cornell, I will get skills that I will need in my future career.
I will have one Rec Lett from my Linear algebra teacher, who is the dean of Math dept, and one Lett from Econ teacher who is also dean of Econ & Buss dept.
I plan to write essay which will hopefully amaze admission officers and I really mean it.
Next quarter I was thinking to work on some research affiliated either Math or Econ or both at the same time. Would it contribute some minor role toward admission decision?

In overal Do I have any chances getting into Cornell? I will appreciate any comments and suggestions (especially I need suggestions on how can I increase my chances to get accepted)

P.S I am just turned 18 does it also play some role in Admis Dec?
