International Transfer

Hey guys!
I am new here at this community and felt elated when i saw a sub topic in the international category dedicated only to India-it being one of the only three! Three cheers for that!
Now coming back to the reason why i started this thread, I am currently a sophomore at one of the colleges in India pursuing a major in Electronics and Communication Engineering. My admission to a college after 12th was a hasty decision and taken up as a compromise due to some personal problems. Now that i have spent some time here, i feel i should have applied to a US university but never too late, i researched and found this awesome community. Now i want to ask u guys what are the colleges providing Need/merit based financial aid to transfer applicants and what are the chances of being selected? Is it necessary for me to give the SATs as i haven't given any after my 12th. I scored 95% each in 10th and 12th and have respectable GPA of 9.5/10. My ECs are good too.
Could any of you shed some light on that?

Also wanted to ask if it would be fine to take SATs now?

Colleges are stingier with need based aid for transfer than with normal ones. That’s all I know. Plus I’ve heard Transferring is pretty hard if you’re looking at the top schools.
Your board marks are amazing! If you have any significant EC’s, then you should be good in most part of the Application. Harvard17 had a 95.something in CBSE and now he’s drinking pepsi with Emma Watson!
Jk. I meant that he’s in Brown now. But he was a regular first year applicant.

Thank You perfectpixie.
Well i have a lot of diverse ECs. Have represented India at an international level program and been an NTSE scholar. Have also been dancing at school and am a basketball player too. Plus i have been a gold medalist at a state level debate. Will this be enough? I mean do u really need to have IPhO,IMO,IChO in ur name to be able to get admissions there? What all colleges do u think i should apply to?
