International transferring / does previous school matter? / gap year

I am a Korean highschool student wanting to transfer to American university after two years. (Korean university -> American university)

  1. Does being an international student cut the possibility of being accepted a lot?
  2. If I go to one of the prestigeous Korean universities like Seoul National University, or Yonsei University and transfer from there, does it act as a beneficial factor on the transfer application?
  3. I have never taken SAT or ACT or anything (I just took TOEFL) yet so I will need time to study for tests, and write essays and everything. So I think it'll be helpful to take a year off from college after my freshman year. Do you think it'll look very bad on my application if I did nothing but studying for the gap year(or semester)?

Thank you

You should try look into your school’s study abroad programs if they have any, and yes your school’s prestige will help you but if you transfer there are high chances that you’re going to have to start from freshman year, and you’re going to have to take the SATs I think.
