International undergraduate or international graduate? What would be the best for me?

Hey all,

I'm new here, but as I need to start applying soon, I think it would be good to get some opinions on this.
First of all, I am addicted to traveling. I visited Australia this past summer, and I would LOVE to live there, at least for a short while.
Secondly, I love learning about new cultures, people, languages, etc.
And third, my intended major is International Relations, with a minor in Russian.

I have been thinking about my college options for a while, and I was leaning toward doing my undergraduate degree overseas, specifically in Australia, at the Australian National University. It is an excellent school, the number one in Australia and in the top 50 in the world (last I checked).
However, my parents have been pressing me to stay in the states for my undergrad. They want me to have access to family, and they say it would be better for my intended career track (Dept. of State) if I stay here and instead do a study abroad program, then do my Master's and Doctorate overseas. Also, I am dual-enrolled and I will have about 60 credits by the time I graduate high school, and US universities are probably more open to accepting these.

Anyone have any thoughts? I know I rambled on for a while...
