Hey, I'm an international student and have already enrolled in college in my country and have completed one year. I'm planning on giving the SAT this october. Will I able to apply for top colleges, considering the fact that I have already finished two semesters in my college?I want to apply as a freshman as I am no longer interested in pursuing undergraduate studies from my country.

After completing a full year of full time post-HS college, you will need to apply as a transfer to any US college.

The fact that you don’t want to continue with your current area of study doesn’t matter, it’s the time spent in college following HS that is the factor considered.

So can I give the SAT or will I not be allowed to apply at all? What if I tell them I took a drop this year?

Yes, you can submit your SAT score. No, you cannot apply as a freshman; only as a transfer student. Once you have matriculated (enrolled) in any college degree-granting program, you are considered a transfer student.
