International vs. Domestic applicant.

How large or significant is the difference in acceptance rate to colleges like HYPSMC between an International(canadian, if that makes any slight of a difference) and a US applicant?

Don't intend to make this into a chances thread, but briefly - if I had something around a 3.98 UW, 4.5W, 2300 SAT, 800/780/760 SAT 2 and some major/minor ECs (regional, local, and a few provincial/state) with good essays, recs, and 5 APs by end of Jr, and 11 by end of Sr. year, with scores of around 3/4/5/5/5, am I LARGELY disadvantaged compared to a US applicant with similar stats, or is the acceptance rate virtually the same?

Just to make things worse, let me add that I'm asian and that I'm in need of aid (though I think most are "need-blind")

I must have asked this question like 100 times but I never seem to get a clear-cut, fresh answer.

Thanks for any input.

Canadians are generally less disadvantaged compared to other internationals. Some schools are even need-blind to Canadians over other countries.

^ how about admission itself?, not finaid.

I think those schools treat Canadians like Americans. Unfortunately, no matter where you’re from, chances will be slim at those schools (about 3-5%) being in the crowded Asian pool if you have nothing that truly differentiates you.

Canadians=Americans even in admissions?
