I am an international student from Bangladesh. I am applying for the 2013 fall. I have given my SAT 1 but as I was sick, got only 1700! That's why I will be taking my SAT 1 again on December and do hope to get a 2000. Giving my SAT 2 in this November hope to get a 700 in Physics (Min.) and 730 in Math 2C (Min.). My GPA is 5.00 out of 5.00. have lots of Extracurricular activities.

I have also got the Opportunity Fund Scholarship from the EducationUSA (it's under the US Embassy). I am awarded this scholarship so that I can pay my upfront costs of applying to universities in USA such as Application Fees, Courier fees, Test Fees, Visa Fees etc.

My parents won't be paying me single buck, they truly just can't afford it. So, I just need full ride or something very closer to that. That's the only way I can attend college.
Can anyone please suggest me some LACs/Universities that will offer me full rides or near that?

You have two problems that I can see. Your stats (even projected stats) aren’t high enough for the schools that give “full aid” to int’ls.

The schools that give “full ride” merit scholarships won’t work for you because those only cover tuition, room, board, books. (Plus, again, your stats aren’t high enough). Those “full ride” scholarships do NOT cover: personal expenses, international travel, and insurance. Those extra costs are about $7k per year. how would you cover those costs? you can’t get a visa unless you can show that those costs are covered.

I am gonna get the international travel and the personal expenses through the Opportunity scholarship I got. But yes again I know that my stats aren’t that high at all. And yeah getting the visa won’t be a problem at all cause I am already volunteering at the EducationUSA under the US Embassy. But for that first I have to get the Admission!

Could you please tell me how much higher my stats should be to get a full ride?
One of my friends got into Berea College last year with full ride. Her SAT was 1720. No SAT 2s. She got the Opp. Scholarship too. But still I am not just counting on that!
