Internationals: confirm that we don't need to send mid-year report?

I know that Internationals don't need to send the Mid-Year Report. But the MyMit keeps saying that it is missing. Should I email them, as some comments from their blogs say? If so, send to where?

Thanks!

Only US students or students in US based school systems send mid-year grade reports. Internationals are welcome to send a mid year transcript.

OMG I feel so dumb... I was in a hurry to post this... now I realize I did a huge mistake!! I'm really sorry... Again:

Should I email them telling them that I don't need to send the Mid Year Report, as some comments from their blogs say? u If so, send an email to where?

Thanks!

Mark, so you mean that we, internationals, can only send the transcript without the mid-year report form?

I've emailed MIT several times about this exact issue. Some things to realize:

1.) MIT knows who their International Applicants are, and does not expect a mid-year report from them.

2.) It is ok if the mid-year report is not checked off in the MyMIT account if you're an international applicant.

3.) International students may send a transcript updating MIT about their mid-year grades (essentially the same thing as a mid-year report)

4.) If MIT does not have a piece of information required to make a decision, they will make sure to find it, and you will not be at fault.

Hope this has been of some help :D.

It has. Thanks for the info.

Whew, thank you, Mark!

Hey, I did mail the admissions office regarding this, and they said that the tracker shouldnt bother you, and you need not send the mid year report, unless you want to :)

Hmm, thanks, shruthibaskaran! I feel better now!
