How strict are the academic prerequisites ? Is 90% in all of four grades (yes I'm taking gap year) good enough ? Is it in the range ?
Also did you guys take APs ? My city (in india) doesn't have an AP center. Even if I go to a bigger city in may for an exam, I hardly have 1 month to prepare. I mailed Wharton and they said "we don't expect you to take APs", reassuring as that is, Still will giving an AP make a difference ?
Point to be noted that since I took IIT-JEE training (supposedly the toughest entrance exam), I have studied an extremely high level of calculus.
ANY help will be appreciated.
Thanks

No, I’m sure you’ll be fine without the AP exams. No one can really judge how well you are academically besides the UPenn adcom, but 90% is probably good; however, we don’t know the rigor of your courses. If you’ve already applied this year, I’m not sure what you’re trying to get by taking the APs since they’ve probably already made many of their decisions. (assuming you’re applying as a freshmen)

Thanks for the reply
Well, though my education board is not the toughest in the country, it certainly is rigorous. My class ranks are in the top 5% for all the four years.
No, I’ll be applying for next year. Taking this gap year to work upon a couple ECs and do all my favourite activities.
I’m particularly interested in the Huntman program

Anyone else ? I’d like more opinions.

Correct me if I’m mistaken, but can’t you place out of classes by taking the placement exams before classes begin?

You mean I can give the APs next may ? So I’ve to write in my application that I’ll be giving APs later ? Do they consider this ? I’m sorry I’m really clueless about the APs.

Bump 10 char
