Internationals going to UT Austin?

Are there any Indians going to the University of Texas at Austin???

Any Internationals at all??

(Im going this Fall!)

Yeah,my friend is.

yes, i am too! what major are you doing?

my friend is for engineering.... curious, is purdue bttr or austin better for engineering?? she chose austin over purdue tho i thought purdue was better...

Im doin Econ....

Purdue and Texas are about equal in Engineering, although Austin is a far more happening place than West Lafayette and as universities overall, texas is better overall. Given the choice, your friend probably made the right choice.

im goin to austin. im from lima, peru. probably majoring in finance.

I considered it for an exchange, but eventually chose UNC chapel-Hill.

is there any fin aid for internationals at UT Austin?

I've been considering UT Austin as it does a really good course for what i want to go into.

"is there any fin aid for internationals at UT Austin?"

yeah that or any scholarships?
Please inform us aspirants u admits

Whats the campus like?

BIG. really ****in big

state school. no aid for internationals on the undergraduate level. graduates get aid. i have a friend going there next fall. great school; it's huge.

Actually LordDragon, I understand UT-Austin does in fact give internationals aid.

i'm international and am getting aid. but i should make it clear that i did live in texas for over a year and did graduated from a texas high school. but i know for a fact that intls who aren't texas residents are ineligible for merit-based scholarships and financial aid. but i've also heard that if an out-of-stater gets into one of ut's honors programs, his/her's out-of-state tuition will be automatically waived.
so i would really encourage everyone to apply to their honors programs. i just got back from orientation yesterday...and to say the least, ut has such an awesome student body, and their honors programs are just amazing ;)
sorry if i’m confusing anyone. i’m not an expert, but feel free to im me if there’s anything I can do.

hook 'em horns!

It is my understanding that although most state universities publically state that they do not provide FA to intl students, they do tend to make exceptions, if you're a) living in that particular state or b) your stats are just simply amazing

hello, is that your case?

Hello is already goin to duke with aid.

As the campus is so big i guess theres a lot going on!
