good choices. don't need finaid?

Mine:

Princeton (ED)
Cornell
Dartmouth
UPenn
Brown

All ivies, no safeties cuz im already into economics at Warwick in England for 2006 entry :p I also had applied to all of these except Penn and Brown last year.

.... faint A Level or IB or AP student? (In a way, don't you love UCAS's way of applying?) Congrats on gettin' into Warwick.

How were last year's results?

I got a conditionals from Warwick, Imperial, York, Southampton, and Lancaster for electronic engg. Got 3 Fours, and 1 Five in AP. I decided to change from engg to econ later on, so the best out of them for econ was Warwick, so i accepted them and changed course.

I HATE the ucas app..although its easier, u cant apply for a variety of courses. I couldnt apply to LSE...damm.

Why not? ponders London School of Econs, right? A pal of mine could last year. Strange.

I used it myself, applied to biotech or biochem. Got conditionals for UCL, Liverpool John Moores and UEA. Hah, my actual results didn't make the cut!

But it does suck that aid isn't given much when it comes to the UK...

Here's my list:

Carleton
Franklin & Marshall
Allegheny
Wesleyan (Freeman Asian Scholars)
Bates
Reed (maybe)

I'm not sure if I'll be able to get in--ECs are rather weak, compared to all of you... schools here don't care much about them. :(

Its all about how you potray your ECs. You could have just one thing you're good at and if you play up that one thing, your activities might sound better than even a star athlete's.

enilit: my advice to you is to think carefully about all the activities you've participated in.you'll probably realize you've done a bunch things that really deserve to be put on your app. ;) (just think about EVERYTHING)

Okay. cheers up Thanks guys... Now to sit and think what I've done all these years, besides April Fool's jokes. ;)

well you could tell them that too(the jokes I mean) :p

here goes...saudi female with wholly unremarkable SAT scores (1780) and less than avg. SAT II scores (620 lit, 590 bio-e) with like a 3.7 gpa and 11 in a class of 63..applying to:

northwestern (which i just realized after posting, i have NO CHANCE)
purdue
george washington
penn state
villanova

3.7 GPA; I'm envious!! And nice rank.

And don't think negatively!

Okay...I think I got my list down...

Bates - Reach
Beloit - Safety/Match
Carleton - Reach
Cornell College - Safety
Grinnell - Reach
Knox - Match-ish
Middlebury - Reach
Mount Holyoke - Match
St. Louis University - Safety
Wesleyan Uni - REAACCHH

cornell is a safety? whaaaaaaat...i feel like a failure...stats?

Cornell College is different from Cornell **University./b Cornell College is in Iowa, not New York.

ohh okay...sorry im a bit misinformed...cuz yale college is YALE but for undergrads...thats a good list. mount holoyke n st. louis mailed me but i didnt really know how good they were....i remember thinking if they're that good, they wouldnt be mailing ME in SAUDI ARABIA of all places. well good luck

Dartmouth ED
and if I don't get accepted I'm thinking of:
Vassar - Match/Reach
Wesleyan - Match/Reach
Smith College (Idk...)
Connecticut College - Match/Half safety
RIT - Safety
and possibly IUB as a safety (International University of Bremen) if I don't feel like going to America
Then again, I might end up going to Sweden... we'll see.

dismail: Why shouldn't a good college be mailing YOU all the way in SAUDI ARABIA of all places? Mt. Holyoke is actually REALLY diverse (except when it comes to gender ;)) It's got one of the highest percentage of international students. I'm unsure if you're talking about Washington Uni of St. Louis or St. Louis University... I think you're talkin' about the former? If so, that's also a really good university. REALLY good.

vemafe: Hey! Heard from Dartmouth yet? It's already the 8th...at least in Asia and Europe! Yeah, I heard of IUB. Got a view/prospectus from them a few days ago. A 2004 senior is goin' there now. And if you can put Vassar and Wesleyan as "Match/Reach" power to you!

ya wasnt mt. holyke originally a women's college? it was washington uni of st. louis...IN MADRID. haha...well not that i dont think im not great (kidding) i was just pleasantly surprised...i also got mail from colorado university and american university..any input? im pretty sure penn state-university park is my best match but im worried bc that main campus is the most competitive. id like to go into premed, do u think id have a better chance applying to another campus?
