Any international students here? I hope you guys applied for aid becuse Georgetown is need blind in making its decisions and gives 5 full tuition scholarships to each year.
And Gtown classifies internationals as students who need a visa to study in the States; ie those who are not Green Card holders and permanent residents. So while the may be 60-70 pure internationals, there are many more (about 30-40) who do live abroad but arent classified as internationals due to their immigration status.
If any of you have any questions, pls feel free to ask me. I will meet all the internationals in August, because I am an IPO ambassador.
Come to IPO. It is awesome!!!!!!

I didn't know Georgetown was need blind for internationals...interesting. I've always assumed it wasn't. Well, if I'm admitted I look forward to meeting you.

yes. it is need blind in making its decisions, but unfortunately not in giving aid. by that i mean, they will accept you regardless of whether you can pay, but they wont give you aid so you can attend. only 5 students get full tuition scholarships.

I AM! i also asked a question.. whether or not gt like internationals.. i dont think i got many replies

Am I considered International if I'm not American, but have lived here for 12 years? I had to write my alien registration number on the app. If not, am I just considered African American? That wouldn't really be right though because African and african americans have different backgrounds. could colleges count me for both their international and black/minority populations? Wait nevermind, International students get less money, I'm american now
