I was wondering if dorm rooms usually come with internet connection. I hate to use computer labs and I really like to store files on my computer.

Also, was I wrong to buy a desktop computer or should I have invested in a laptop. The desktops were on sale with an offer I could not refuse.

most dorms do have interent connection through an ethernet cable..some may even have wireless..check in your college's forum or school's website..

it wasnt wrong to buy a desktop..u just wont be able to carry ur computer to classes..no big deal..laptops just seem to be more convenient if u want to take it around and they take up less space..but there's nothing wrong with a desktop..

Laptop are MORE convenient, but desktops will do, I guess. I personally bought a laptop - Asus W3J, most likely the best 14 and 15 inch laptop on the market.

I was considering a laptop also but I really wanted something that I can upgrade to better parts. Also a desktop is easier to fix. I know how to fix desktops, but I am unfamiliar with laptops.
