Internet Connection Speed in Dorm

Does anyone know the internet speed in the dorms if connected via cable?

I see no one has answered. I will try by saying that there is WiFi. Also your child should bring an ethernet cable. A 25 ft one would be plenty long enough for their room. The speed with the ethernet cable is faster and can be more reliable especially at high use times. For ex. during study week.

Here is the office of tech info. on campus.

Theoretically, the maximum speed that can be obtained via cable is 100 Mbit/s and the WiFi is somewhere around 50 Mbit/s , though I have not done a speed test to test either. Keep in mind that speeds will vary depending on the number of users and additional routers are prohibited as they slow down the speed even more. I find the speed good enough to stream YouTube videos while doing homework or posting on CC.
