Internet Optimizer is an error page hijacker!! Does anyone have experience with this? Can someone help me get rid of it, please??!! It's sooo annoying and driving me insane!!

Here's what I found on google:

How to remove Internet Optimizer manually:

The following dll files should be unregistered;

%windows%\System\iopti130.dll
%windows%\System
em207.dll
%windows%\System\wsem210.dll

These files should be removed;

%windows%\System\iopti130.dll
%windows%\System
em207.dll
%windows%\System\wsem210.dll

Internet Optimzer can partly be removed by going to the Control Panel in Windows and clicking on "add/remove programs". Look for the entry "Active Alert" and "Internet Optimizer" and remove it.

***I've already removed the program from my control panel. Now how on earth do I unregister dll files??? :confused:

I've had a similar problem myself a few months ago... Is it letting you download anything ? If so, download and install Spybot Search & Destroy (or something equivalent), and it should automatically take care of the intruder once you issue a scan.

If not, you could try simply moving the 'evil' DLLs into a temporary directory and not bother with unregistering them right now. Windows may complain a bit, but it should start up OK, and, with the 'virus' failing to activate, you will be able to download SSD.

Just go to Start > Run, type cmd, hit enter. Then unregister the files using the regsvr32 command -

regsvr32 /u filename <-'
