I'm about to start my sophomore year and although I'm undeclared, I'm heading towards a degree in Neuroscience/Cognitive Science/Psychology. I've had the opportunity to get research experience in a couple of different labs as well as some other analytical-type lab experience. I was working in a lab again this summer and was thinking that I don't want a career in research, and I don't know if I want to spend all my life in the lab. How would I go about getting internship experience in a non-science field, when all my experience now has been in labs?

I know people say that now is the best time to try out a lot of different things and you don't have to be locked into a career. But it seems like you need to be heading in a direction and people get internships relevant to the field they're studying. Like all of the business students that are studying finance, accounting, and the like will go to those types of internships and those companies are looking for students that are studying their field; which makes sense.

Is there a way to get summer internships in a non-science field even if all of my experience and coursework has been in science, just so that I could get a summer's worth of experience trying something new?
