Internship advice please!

That I am...

DaFunk - In my original thread, i didn't claim to be some amazing, perfect student. I supplied you with the situation and asked for advice based on what I have already done. I did not start referencing any of my accomplishments until you asserted that I was doing this all for show. There - no ad hominems, no claims to my godliness.

The point I'm trying to make is that you don't know me and I don't know you so don't make assumptions as to where my passions and intentions are. Now you commend me for putting time into what I believe in, but before you ridiculed me with your rudimentary comedy and now continue to present me with an inconsistent argument. If you honestly valued people like me (and apparently people like yourself), you would not automatically assume that I'm merely putting up a facade as a means toward my admission to college.

I apologize for my harsh words and for my intensity, but I don't let things go when people make claims premised by skewed assumption. And thanks for the advice - I've been to plenty of parties and I've enjoyed many summers as I will enjoy this one. I'm a teenager, although based on my superior level of maturity I can see why you might have lost sight of the fact that I'm still in high school and you're supposed to be the one with the higher level of sophistication.

Agree to disagree

Great 10char

Socratic dialog. That surely would not impress a lot of philosophers unless you are very into it. Sort of light saying you are in to literature when all you've read is "who moved my cheese".. Throw yourself at some Hegel, Kant, or some other big boys of Philosophy
