Hey guys, (I'm puttin up a lot of questions these days, but can't help it!)

As each day goes by, I grow more, moRE, and MORE attached to Cornell..!!!! (It's crazy. My friends think I am a Cornell freak.)

Anyways, this time I was going to ask you guys about what kind of opportunities Cornell offers for its students. In previous posts I expressed my concern about CS being a really highly competitive field for jobs (esp. it still hasn't recovered from the "depression" of the market). This makes Internship/Co-op programs really important to me. What do you guys know about Cornell's offerings in these areas in comparison to other major colleges such as Cal?

Cornell's engineering dept has a great co-op program. I'm in the middle of the process; I'm choosing between two offers I have received (mechE). Basically you spend a semester and a summer at a company starting your junior year, and spend a summer at Cornell to make up classes. Most students who participate receive an offer, and a lot are from top companies in their fields. This type of experience is extremely beneficial to your resume when hunting for a job after graduation. The pay is good too...average salary is $2800/month.
