Hi,

I don't know if I should get credit or no-credit for an internship I got at NIH. What are the benefits of having it or not having it on the transcript? I will receive a stipend and it's only for 8 weeks. I am currently at a CC and transferring to a 4 -year in the Fall.

generally internships for credit have to meet certain requirements. These requirements will vary by school.

Go ahead and speak with your school. They will evaluate your internship and see if it will count, but it might take some work proving what you did and a letter from your employer. It all depends on the situation. Nonetheless, internships are great work experience, even if you don’t receive college credit.
