Internship effect on Law School admission.

I recently got an internship with an attorney in my area (Bay Area, CA). He said he will write me letters of recommendation, etc afterward. Does anyone know what effect this will have on my chances to get into a top 5 law school?

I am asking this question because 1) I have to sacrifice a vacation to Vancouver with my family and 2) there seems to be a lot of variance in peoples opinions regarding this matter.

Thanks.

PS: GPA > 3.5, leadership EC's, honor role, multiple misc awards.

It probably won’t have much effect. Getting into law school is decided 90%+ by GPA and the LSAT. The internship could be good experience and help you get other jobs once you are in law school though.

Do not pass this chance up to go on a vacation. Bad decision in the long run.
