Internship for freshman interested in international busines?

Hello Im a freshman at swarthmore college and am starting to look for an internship for the summer. Right now I was interested in phsyics but have taken a turn to probably becoming an econ major. Either way I love international issues and would really like to end up in international politics or business. Are there any good internship opportunities for someone in my position or any suggestions for places to look. I live close to philadelphia but not nyc or washington.

As a freshman you lack experience but teaching english/sat prep abroad is a great way to gain overseas experience.

I taught SAT prep in Seoul summer after my freshman year. Amazing experience.

Seconded. Also, the pay is amazing. A friend of mine made $25,000 in a summer. Granted, he had experience and ended up spending a significant amount on housing/travel/food/etc. he still had a tidy sum at the end.

^How did he get that job? I wonder if I could teach SAT math to kids.

What NolanDW said...how did he get the job and who was it through? If you could share some contacts that'd be awesome..that sounds really interesting
