Internship for Mechanical Engineer

Hi. So this will be my first post ever at this site. I was wondering about internship opportunity for Mechanical engineer at SLO? I will probably start there this spring as 1st year undergraduate. How is life there at SLO? How many units will i need to take for ME. And lastly, is it recommend to do internship first year? What classes should i take? Sorry for asking all these silly questions.
Thank you

The spring quarter just started this week at Cal Poly - are you already there?

ME is one of the most challenging majors at Cal Poly, so be prepared for a heavy course load. Here’s a link to the flow chart where you can see what courses you’ll be taking:

You’ll have an easier time getting classes if you can keep to the schedule, taking each class in the quarter it’s scheduled.

You can do an internship during the summer if you want, although it’s not required. Cal Poly holds job fairs on campus where recruiters will come for interviews. Keep your eye out for when the next one is, and be prepared with a good resume.

Oh i meant Fall. Not spring.
