Internship guidance please :)

Hi there. My wife and I recently moved to Houston, TX because I got accepted into a medical school here. My wife just needs to pass her French CLEP exam to finish her BS in business administration (with a focus on marketing). She'd love to do marketing, particularly in medicine which is convenient since we live in the heart of the Texas Medical Center, which likely has more opportunities of this kind than anywhere else in the world. The problem is that she says in her research, finding an internship is virtually impossible since she's almost done with her BS and most internship opportunities require that you intern while in school.

So my question to you all... if she is on the verge of finishing her BS and really wants to get in marketing, what can be done? Should she pursue an internship anyways? Enrolling in post-bacc classes would be difficult at the moment since we're sorta strapped for cash due to my full time enrollment. I just want to see her succeed in her goals more than anything. She got her degree at a top-rated university, so she's got that going for her, for what it's worth.

Any advice would be super!
