Internship in a Far Off City

I got a summer internship offer for a position in Seattle. Thing is, I've never been to Seattle and do not know anyone there. The position is 40hrs a week paid. My concern is paying for housing and finding something to do in a city where I know, not one person. How do you deal with those issues?

I was in the same situation. I just hung out with my fellow interns. As far as housing goes, Craigslist is probably your best bet.

If it’s a large company that has a lot of interns there’s a good chance they’ll have some sort of housing assistance program. Some of my friends that worked at GM were given housing in an employee’s house, and some of my other friends at other companies were put in company owned apartments.
