Internship in High school

I completed a summer long internship for the past 2 summers in the computer science field. How much weight will this have in helping me get admitted to a college with a computer science major?

That’s a good experience and it will be helpful to highlight it in your applications. In addition to putting them in the Activities section, you could use a particularly meaningful event as the focus of your essay, or discuss the internships in your Additional Information section.

Thanks for your response. I wrote my essay on an experience during my internship. I am hoping to go to Northeastern. However, I am concerned about my grades. I have a GPA of 3.4 and ACT of 32. Took several honors courses and 2 AP courses. I have many extracurriculars, 120 hours community service and several awards. I was hoping this computer science internship was going to carry a lot of weight. Northeastern a possibility?

Your ACT is average for them, gpa a bit low, likely. All you can do is apply. No one can tell you how much the internship will count. What did you do, can you get a recommendation letter from them? This would be a case where that could be positive for you.

I have an excellent recommendation letter that I have sent to the colleges. I have applied Early Action. Not much more I can do at this point. I will just have to wait and see what happens.
