Hello all, I have some questions about GPA. I have below 3.0 (2.6 currently) now because I had really difficult time during last year of my college(I'm sophomore). But, luckily I got internship at engineering lab because I had one summer research and two semester of summer research relevant to this lab. I din't put my GPA because it will be bad factor to get this internship. Professor and other graduate students never asked me this and all of sudden Professor emailed me what is my current GPA? What should I say? I'm worried about getting fired before I start work. What's the best way to say to her? Please help me.

The best thing you can do is tell her the truth. Imagine if you tell her you have a 3.5 GPA and she runs your transcript to verify your information and finds out you have a 2.6. At the very least you will be dismissed from the position, on the more severe side she could turn the case over to the Dean to do whatever he/she sees fit. I don’t think it would be much of a stretch for a case of being dishonest about your GPA to be considered academic dishonesty. Though I do not know for sure. Just tell her the truth and see what happens. If you are honest the worst thing that can happen is she says no. Best of luck
