i was interested in business as a kid. The whole idea of profit intrigues me. Any more ideas. I truly have no passions. I m similar to a robot. I mean, runescape got me into the business thing. Lol but yeah. Dont start on runescape now or personal life. I just want ure ideas and opinions about my questions.

and ps. my dream is wharton(sorry to sound like chanman). so i ll do anything to get it. Even if it means being a robot.

Please don't write in your essay that your interest in business is from the idea of profit. You don't have to be a robot, just try being more genuine.

sigh, being genuine means nothing because look at it this way, there are kids out there, that have much better grades than i do. So to get even with them and catch up, atleast i can do EC that would help me get into Wharton. An internship. More advice anyone?

My advice is to chill out, sushant. you're only gonna be a sophomore in high school. While this process is highly competitive and requires attention from the start of high school, this year you must focus on getting the highest grades in the most difficult classes you can take as a sophomore at your school. Thats the first and most important thing at this stage. Secondly, but not far behind at all, in fact as you progress through high school your attitude (at least some of the abruptness and slight rudeness that i've noticed from your posts on this forum the last few weeks) must improve and become what carries you forward the most in this process. While almost all of Wharton's acceptees are highly motivated just like you seem to be, they must all have the ability to lead. the only way you are going to get such an opportunity is if you prove to your peers and teachers that you have a strong head on your shoulders. this means that while your eyes must be set on the goal that you have put out for yourself you must also not be so dismissive of others opinions as i've seen on this board (i dont know if you do this in "the real world" but just something to think about). in other words be confident, but in a healthy manner.

yes, an internship will help. for two summers (between 10th and 11th and 11th and 12th i worked in a biomed research lab, got a rec from the head guy and i think/hope it helped me in the process of applying (i applied as a bio major). but you've got time, there's still next summer to solidify something. just do well in school and use this year to try and develop yourself in a club or somethign so you can get a leadership position or two. good luck.

thanks, but the problemo is that if i get an internship next summer, and its in a local store, what type of marketing and finance stuff would i do there???

thanks, but the problem is that what type of thing would be called marketing and finance in local stores.
