<p>Yes the school rep is there for the presentation or "pitch" but they don't sit there with the actual application in front of them. So if the internship is mentioned it might come out as "he had a summer internship" or "he worked 20 hours/week at a bank" or "last summer he interned at a business" or "last summer he had a 20/week internship at Goldman Sachs."</p>
<p>Even if the most details come out, don't assume that people know what all of it means. I graduated from Wharton but I concentrated in Marketing and Management and don't know anything about hedge funds or private equity. I know they are sexy jobs and that they are competitive, but that's it. And in the grand scheme of things, how important is that? I'm not sure. </p>
<p>Internships aren't a required component of the application so don't expect people to know or understand how prestigious or competitive a particular internship is.</p>
