My son recently accepted an offer for a 6 month internship/co-op with a BB Investment Bank in NYC. In his offer letter they stated his regular rate of pay and indicated his overtime pay would be 1.5 x the regular rate. In the same letter, it stated an overtime pay amount that was NOT 1.5 x the regular rate. However, in the letter he was to sign and return, the correct overtime amount WAS listed. Is that the only one that matters since he had to sign it and return??
I would have your son call them up for clarification if that would be a deal breaker for him. Better to be safe rather than sorry.
