So I am currently interviewing with multiple companies for summer internships. For those of you with experience in this area, or who themselves hire people and are familiar, I have a few questions.

Suppose I get an offer before I am done interviewing with other companies I am interested in? Can I postpone my decision?

How would you handle a situation like this?

Almost certainly. All (okay, all two) offers I received both gave a reasonable amount of time to come to a decision (two or three weeks) and said they could work something out if I needed more time.

Ya, it depends. I had about 15 days to respond. They’ll tell you on the offer when you need to respond by. In this economy and job market, especially with it simply being an internship (not a life changing decision like a real job), I wouldn’t let it slip by. I know I hopped right on board when I was offered one.
