Internship Supervisor Is Either Slow To Reply Or Ignoring Me; Any Experiences?

I was offered an internship a few weeks ago via email, and me and my supervisor went on to trade a few emails about scheduling. I managed to secure the days I should intern with my supervisor, but when I emailed about the times, she never responded. I've waited a bit since then, because I did not want to overwhelm her with emails regarding the internship, since I know she must be busy, but the semester is coming to an end, and I thought I should get my information about this internship sorted out before I left to go home for the holidays.

I sent my supervisor an email a few days ago basically touching base on scheduling again and my start date, but I have yet to receive an answer. I don't know if I'm just overly anxious, but I keep thinking the internship has been retracted and she just hasn't bothered to tell me. If I don't get a reply by next Monday, which is a week since I emailed her, I plan on giving her a call. Is this a good idea, or does it seem too pushy? Anyone have experience with this?

Tricky to say, but I’m guessing she’s probably just super busy.

It’s not pushy to call in a week, especially if you have a reason for needing to know right now (for the purposes of scheduling classes, etc.), but if you can wait, I would delay a bit longer.

UPDATE:

I called today, which has been over a week since I emailed, and the supervisor didn’t pick up the phone, so I left a voicemail. I don’t know if I’m just overreacting, but I’m getting worried.

That’s good you called but I would still calm down. I highly doubt they retracted your offer, if they did they would have notified you. She’s probably just really busy and doesn’t have time or is out of town or something. Don’t keep pestering though or then you will get your offer retracted…
