Hello guys,

I am in a predicament. This summer will be a very very productive one. I will either be attending a research internship (if I do get accepted) or working full-time on my art supplement/portfolio.

Now art isn't just another college-admission-boosting area for me. Art has been the selling point of my life. The "specialty" of my personal being, if you could put it that way. I will guarantee that this art portfolio will blow away the art department of the college I am applying to. (Brown ED. perhaps RISD dual program) During this time I will also be working on my college personal essay.

Now, I could either do that or go to a summer-long research internship. Now bear in mind that for this internship, it will take the ENTIRE summer. I will not have any time to do anything but to focus on this internship.

Please help me decide! I am very torn over this issue.

In the future (post graduate) I will most likely get into the medical field. However, I do not think that attending this internship during the summer of my junior year would impact my med-school admissions.

What should I do? I will personally enjoy working on my art supplement more, but I guess that should not factor into my decision making.
