Internship with a low GPA???

I have a 3.0 GPA, and I realize that this isn’t competitive enough for prestigious internships in IB, Big 4, consulting, etc. I am mainly interested in business and currently attend a top 20 university.

With that being said, what are some internships and industries I can look into for the 2018 summer with my low GPA? I am hoping for anything business related with an office environment and analytic skills involved. I am working on improving my GPA to around a 3.5 after this spring semester. With a solid internship over the upcoming summer and a better GPA, I am hoping to be a more competitive applicant in the next recruiting cycle for Big 4 or IB internships.

I am having difficulties finding a paid internship for this summer with a 3.68 (with a pretty impressive resume) as a rising junior.

Have you tried consulting your college career center? They may have some ideas and resources.

Look for a summer credit analyst internship position at a large or regional bank.

Where are you from? I would look for opportunities in your hometown. Try second-tier firms, smaller companies, etc.
