I am thinking of doing an internship over the summer but the sad thing is that the company has not taken high school interns before. Unfortunately, this is my first internship. What should I get them to sign or write for me to show that I worked there?
Do I need a time sheet, referral letter for college, etc.?
- Thanks

Wait until the end of the internship to ask someone to write you a short letter for school credit, or instead keep in contact and wait until the college application process to ask for a nice letter of recommendation.

Thanks :)

:(((

Well I’m sure you or they could make up some sort of form that they can sign off on saying that you worked as an intern there for the summer, right? That is, after you have interned there lol.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m pretty sure colleges don’t need proof of your employment. Most of them just take what you say to be true, so you can just write it under your ECs/work experience and you should be fine.

How do you ask for an internship? Before this site, I’ve never even heard of high school students being interns, haha. Would it look bad to only have one in senior year?
