Internship

I am Vietnamese that is a sophomore. So today I called a lawyer in a local asian brochure and he said I can intern at his office every summer and even possibly school year.

I was wondering if this internship will very help me stand out because I have only 1 EC at the moment but they aren't that great. I would like to just focus on this internship instead of doing other EC. Is this a good idea because I have a chance to do something that I absolutely love.

Would you recommend me just focusing on this one and maybe a job instead of other EC that I don't very like. I'm afraid colleges would think I done only 2 EC during high school and show no passion.

Internships are always a great idea, but don’t sacrifice your ECs. You should still try to stay with some ECs…

Thank you for your suggestion.

Why can’t you do both at the same time?

Is your other EC time consuming?

I was thinking of only doing 2 EC because these two would be pretty time consuming and inwould not like it to interfere with my hectic school work. I am likely to just do the internship everyday and to probably have my other other EC on weekends. My other EC is a non profit called USA for Vietnam and my cousins and I held garagebsales, lawn work, lemonade stands to fund for a hugepackage to be delivered to Vietnam. This would be a 3 year progress and I’m looking around couple hundreds because vienam notebooks costaround 5 cents in us. And this project is more like doing free yard work but asking for a tip.

Sorry typing on iPod

Haha, don’t you just love typing on an iPod, I do that all the time and it gets frustrating sometimes. Anyway, I would say to also try to keep the EC’s on the weekends because it would help your app and it sounds like a good organization. Also, definitely go with the internship, that is one of the best things I would think that you could put on your app. (and you get paid for it)
