Internships for Econ Majors

I was wondering if anyone knew of possible internships for econ majors. I want to work in finance and I've applied for ibanking internships, but I was looking for something as a back up in case that doesn't work out. I've applied for finance internships with Nike and Johnson & Johnson but does anyone know of any other internships related to finance? I'm a junior at Johns Hopkins and have a 3.9 gpa. Any help would be great. Thanks!

There's a variety of finance related internships at most fortune companies.

Try energy companies such as shell/exxon or tech companies such as google/intel. Once you leave the financial sector, its mostly financial/finance analyst roles. Except for energy companies who have energy trading desks.

Rule of thumb. After an interview, offers are usually granted in less than 1 week. If you don't hear anything, don't count on it.

Does that rule apply to engineering internships too?
