Internships for international students

hi guys, this is the first time i ever started a thread in the international student section :P

ok, so i'm gonna head off to the US this year, and am hoping for internship opportunities there. Is it possible for international students to get them? i'll do it with no-pay; i just want to expand my knowledge. I did an internship at Ernst & Young (in my country) once and i love it so much :) so is it possible for me to get one (any company) in the US?

This is a question you need to pose to your university.

I think with a F1 visa, you can work (paid and unpaid) after the first 9 months of study.

Whether you will find one, I don’t think anyone can guarantee you that. Yes, it is very possible especially if you are willing to settle with an unpaid one. However, the job market doesn’t look too good right now and I do have friends who haven’t been able to find even an unpaid internship.
