<p>Internship in which areas? I know some students doing internships in banking and finance in NYC, and others in engineering ... but you have to be good.</p>
<p>Yeah there are - if you do decently in college, prepare a decent CV there are definite internships to be..</p>

<p>They're probably wondering if internships are okay because you can't get a job if you're on a student visa. But internships are a part of a lot of major graduation requirements, so it should be alright.</p>
<p>I know internships for internationals are hard to find, but there are definitely a lot of opportunities out there to be explored. The company internships are relatively easier to apply compared to research internships which are mostly sponsored by government. I am also an international, and I interned at an industry for one summer and was working on in physics research position at a good research institute for second summer. So for us, we need to try harder but some will work out well for sure.</p>
