Any other ideas for internships for Politcal science/international relations major besides the obvious political/governmental offices? S has been applied to about 20 internships since January but nothing is happening.

Do not fret there are tons of opportunities still out there. It’s really an odds game…the more you apply to, the better your chances are, especially as most DC summer internships are super competitive. Make sure that your son is continuing to check USAjobs on a frequent basis for internship opportunities. Idealist.org is a good source for ngo/non-profit opportunities (a lot of them political/international in scope). I personally like Brad traverse (google it). It is a subscription service which is super lame but it is worth it in my opinion…with thousands of listings on political/international policy jobs and internships updated everyday (i.e. right now there are 472 internship listings). Not advertising for them at all, just think that they are an excellent resource. YPFP (google it) also has a decent job board for internships and the like. If you google it, most university career service office websites (particularly in the DC area) have extensive listings on government/international relations jobs. This is another one of my favorites [Center for American Studies](http://cas.cnu.edu/internships.htm)

Thanks for the great resources!
