Internships freshmen summer?

<p>I'm a freshmen interested in banking, consulting, and business. Currently, I'm an international relations major in the honors college concentrating on economics with a 3.85 GPA but i'm trying to get into the business program at my college (target school, awesome business program). The problem is, to get into the program i need an impressive resume meaning i need to have an internship on there. i've been cold calling all week and no bank wants to hire a freshmen liberal arts major with no business experience. i've tried everything from boutiques to big name i-banks. now i'm calling trying to get a PWM internship because i hear these don't require any business background. i keep getting transferred to voicemails and don't get calls back...how can i go about getting a PWM internship? should I call local PWM branches or the national branch? How persistent can I be before I'm obnoxious?</p>
