It is possible to get internships during our sophomore year in college or do we usually have to wait the summer of sophomore year.

It depends on your major and if your willing to do unpaid internships. My friend is doing a marketing internship this summer before her sophomore year, but it’s unpaid. Like it seems not to matter when it’s unpaid as it doesn’t really matter if your that amazing or you don’t grasp the info as well. But if they are paid they tend to want those going into junior or senior as they’ve matured a bit and have more coursework related to the industry. Also it’s harder during the school year as it’s a lot like a scouting thing for hires. So if they are likely to take those who can intern and then they’ll give a job offer to once the school year is over. However, if you push and do your research then you can find internships no matter your school year. I’m currently working an IT internship before my sophomore year of college. Plus I have bout 3-4 interviews for internships for this school year. It just takes more effort and looking around. Plus like it depends on your work experience. I worked more than full time most of hs and a lot in leadership positions. Try places like monstertrak. It never hurts to throw a resume out there and see if people bite.

I’m a undecided major, but i know i want to major in communication. I’m willing to do unpaid work.

I got a internship the spring semester of my sophmore year so it is possible…
