Internships?

Should I bother looking for an internship? I'm going to have about 1.5 months without much to do late in the summer so is it beneficial fo rme to look for one right before college starts? I don't need money at all. The problem is that I don't really know where to look for one (internship related to medicine?).

I know this is a general question but I am debating on this or just being a referee a couple of times a week and making college preparations.

Enjoy your last summer with all your high school friends, there is plenty of time in the future to work/get internships

Yes, you do not need to have an internship before you get to college. Enjoy being young and have fun with your friends before you all go off to college!

Don’t bother with internships, you have entirety of college to find those. If anything I’d volunteer someplace just so that you can say that you did something productive with your time (or refereeing is good too). Otherwise just have fun with friends and family while you can, college is an exciting experience and home will never be the same after it

Your whole college experience will revolve around stressing over getting internships. No need to start that early. Plus I imagine there are few good internships available to high school grads with no job or college experience. Unless you just happen to know someone who will let you job shadow them.

All right … I’ll save the stress until next year. :frowning: :)
