Interpreting schools

I am already in college, but my girlfriend is doing the college search now. She wants to be a Spanish interpreter. What colleges have good foreign language programs or interpreting programs? Do you think she should go to a college in Spain or one of these vocational schools that does strictly interpreting? I would like to hear from some people that have done foreign language.

Thanks.

Middlebury is one of the best schools out there for those interested in languages. They have excellent study abroad opportunities too.

Maybe something with a little lower requirements. She is like a B student.

First off, Spanish programs can be found almost everywhere. So can Spanish interpreters. The US if absolutely chocked full of people who speak both languages well. She might want to take a look at something a bit less crowded.

I would recommend looking at Dickinson. It's a great school that's focused on internationalism. A very large percentage of students there studies abroad, which is a good idea for a language learner.
