Personally I would like to be with someone that belives the same way I do.

from my experience, blacks at my school are rude and only associate with themselves.... they have a "homie-esque" attitude; like the rappers on mtv, and disrespect women................... this is just my experience.. no offense to anyone

Disrespect women? It seems to me that a lot of black boys like their women. Just because they like the sexual things doesn't neccesarily mean /disrespect/. That doesn't mean they don't know how to treat their woman...

Thank you quitejaded I have never disrespected a womanor at least have tried not to. Ms.rose don't let your experiences with these few black people put a damper on all of them that is the problem to many people see the way some of us act and then they think we all act that same way.

nick, i understand that i cant judge an entire race based on the small population at my school.

are you black? if so, are you attracted to white girls? asian girls?

Black people are really nice and yeah they might act all rude at your school but you gotta get to know them .. some are plain rude but some are really nice .. and you have that with the whole population, not just blacks. And the marriage with a different religion .. well i suppose in some religions it's okay, but in others it's not ya know
and a lot of blacks might act the way they do just because they come from a poor neighborhood

I am black and I am attracted to other races.

=] Some people are rude some aren't that bad. =]

You have to get to know them. The problem is getting them to LET you get to know them. I mean, getting into their group. Getting that whole group of black people to accept you as one of your group. If THAT's what you're talking about...

I don't just hang out with the black people I socialize with everybody race really never mattered that much to me.

I don't think it has to do with the neighborhood you're brought up in .I think it is about how and who rasied you .

nick da man 08: Amen. I'm what some would call the atypical black male. I tend to shatter African American stereotypes.

But anyway, race is not a factor to me when it comes to dating. I've been attracted to every race.

maja let me ask you something why do people give us all these bad stereotypes?

You wouldn't have bad stereotypes if they weren't true atleast some of the times. But incase you haven't noticed, pop culture is only pushing it.

what stereotypes are true?

What do you mean what stereotypes are true? All of them are true for atleast some people.

How many black people do you know who hate friend chicken?
How many black people do you know hate rap?

There are bad stereotypes, because when a bloc of a race continuously does things that are viewed negatively by society, the stereotypes are often perpetuated by the media. As a result, it is assumed that these negative characteristics are indicative of that race.

Gangsta Rap Doesn't Help Improve

.... the image of black males. I know nick da man asked majay duke why some would feel threatened and even against interracial relationships with black males, but I wanted to chip in, as a non-black, and a female.

The anti-relationships-with-black-men thing comes from -- at least partly-- the

stereotype that black men don't marry the women they have children with-- as in, there are a disproportionately high number of unmarried women with kids whose father was black

stereotype that black men, like MOST gangsta rappers, like calling women "btches" and "ho"s and use them mostly for sex, without regard to women as thinking, emotional people. Do you hear 50 Cent rapping about how much he admires a woman's wonderful personality? Or is mostly all about her as?

stereotype that black men are jobless, very lazy, uneducated, unmotivated

stereotype that black men are criminals

stereotype that black men will somehow "corrupt" the supposed "innocence" and "purity" of white women. Or Asian, Hispanic etc. women.

Those are just some sterotypes. I live in a city that is almost half-black and because of it there are sometimes a lot of of ensuing stereotypes that are around. I even remember being with a group of black girls and one girl even said outright that, "Y'all know that black men are very disrespectful."

I'm not saying she's justified in saying that. I just wanted to point out common stereotypes that abound towards many black males.

I know 2 black people that hate CHICKEN
AND TONS OF BLACK PEOPLE WHO HATE RAP

Yes, he does rap about BOTH of those things.

Some rappers like a lot of sex. What can you do? That's what men want. Sex. And in America, a lot of boys will date you just for sex. What is wrong about rapping about what you like?

And wow, good for you nick da man. They are still stereotypes and apparently you DO know black people who like rap and like chicken.
