Interracial Dynamics Cluster 20a

What do you guys think of this class? I enrolled during orientation to fulfill premed requirements, since I am a premed biology major. Like to hear your comments.

yeah, well, i'm pre-med too, and I enrolled in that class too! I assume that the class is not too difficult. What's your schedule?

Got a syllabus for this class? I'd like to check it out, thanks :)

yeah, here. <a href="http://www.sscnet.ucla.edu/classes/ird/%5B/url%5D">http://www.sscnet.ucla.edu/classes/ird/</a></p>

i'm thinking of actually dropping it. My counselor doesn't want me to take four classes 1st quarter.

how does that cluster fulfill premed requirements? o.0

rosedust...i had the same question :) BTW, many med schools wont look at ur cluster series as enough to fullfill the "one year eng" req. They wanna see "eng or lit" in the course title. just a heads up

I met the OP at orientation and we were planning to enroll in the same cluster.. im pretty sure what he means by "premed requirements" is a misnomer. The cluster has nothing to do with premed.

He's just talking about how the cluster takes care of 3 GE classes, a seminar requirement and the writing II.

Took this cluster last year - wazzzup7up is right, it fulfills 3 GEs, seminar requirement and writing II. 1st quarter covers the history of racism, 2nd quarter more contemporary aspects of racism, and 3rd quarter is a seminar of your choice. Expected about 4-5 papers total for this cluster (for all 3 quarters), it's heavy reading (expect about $120 worth of course readers that you'll need to purchase) , boring lectures, but it's really useful to understand all the concepts for the final.
