Whoops, I thought this was the forum of another Ivy League school, not Harvard. My mistake.

March 20th is surprisingly early to be concluding applicant evaluations…

Hmm. So my interview on about the 13th was just inside that deadline. I hope that that is a good sign; final confirmation and all that. Again Stupefy, I think that you have a great chance.

My interview was on March 19th. I hope it’s a good sign for both of us!!!

^ yeah agreed. 4 more days of pointless speculation to go!

^lol speculation is right. we’ve exhausted all realms of possibility :p

Oh, no problem.

I agree, but there is an apparent motive behind such a large time buffer.

Of course! Torture of hapless students who have no other option but to subject themselves to the evil machinations of the Ivy League.

God, my interview was fairly early. My app is probably being shredded as I type…

^Yessss!!!

My rejection letter will say: WHO WERE YOU KIDDING?!

Call me insane, but I wrote my own rejection letter during AP Stats one day. In cursive. Maybe I should get a life…?

Just living up to your name, I guess :O

Indeed, but it’s just the fact that Harvard has concluded their admissions decisions so early – relative to some other Ivy League schools, which I know for certain were still in the process of making final decisions as late as yesterday – that is somewhat baffling to me.

Ah, don’t worry stressed. I did not need to write my own as I will be receiving many from others in the nest few days.

And it is interesting that they were done so early? Especially since they got so many applicants (30 000+ for less than 2000 places)

The committee works quite feverishly, though. I would also assume that the college has employed more admission officers to maintain the individual work distribution (due to the application increases over the past few years).

just got back from my interview and it went exceptionally well ![]()
she was an attorney, and we really connected. we had the same interests and we are both very talkative and outgoing. 1.5 hours

too bad it counts for nothing :(

Counts for nothing? Says who? None of us here are Harvard Admissions officers; we can’t say with absolute certainty that it’ll have no effect on your application.

I’m sure it’ll turn out for the best. You’ll know if it factored in come April 1. :)

Did she say anything about why it’s happening so late or anythingg?

But I’m glad it went well :)

No, and I didnt’ ask her. she didn’t sound like she knew why

^ Comrade Stupefy, did she mention that she was going to write you a report of some sort? I know my interviewer back in December mentioned it at this end (Along with an adjective that made me very happy at the time).

^yup. the whole interview was pretty standard. she said she would write up the report tonight…dont think itll get there in time though ;)

meaningless interview SIGH
