<p>I submitted my personal info sheet on 12/28th, I knew I was way past the interview deadline and never expected an interview. However, today, a local alumna called me and wanted to schedule an interview for Duke with me.
Is this just because I got a nice interviewer, or does this have something to do with my actual application?</p>
<p>Same situation here. I think it has to do with the number of alumni in your area.</p>
<p>I'd agree and say it has to deal with the alumin avaliable in your area. They don't look at your stats and say okey we dont like this kid were not going to call them.. no, they actually try to interview everyone they can. Sometimes they cannot because of lack of Duke alumni or other complicating factors.</p>

<p>they call you instead of emailing you, like all the other schools? Now I feel terrible because I have been too lazy to program the new voicemail system and might have missed it :(</p>
<p>i got an offer for one not in my area, so i couldn't make it and was forced to decline. ( it was in a city about an hour's drive away)</p>
<p>Same here. I sent in my apps around 12/23 (bad, late me) and got an interview in late January.</p>
<p>I live in east TN, so I guess that either means there's lots of Duke alumni around here, or very few applicants!</p>
<p>I sent mine in I think the 29th and had my interview yesterday.</p>
